Time to Take Care of Yourself!

What exactly do I mean by the term, “It’s My Turn Campaign?" If, like me, you are at a crossroads in your life...starting over...redefining yourself, I’d like you to stand up and be counted. Whatever your reason may be, you deserve to be Noticed!  Counted!  Heard!


Recently divorced after 40+ years of marriage. Financially stretched. Overwhelmed. Stressed out. Scared. Nervous. I cannot allow any of this to define me.  My eldest son reminds me, “You used to be a strong person! What happened to you?” That phrase sticks in my mind. As a result, I silently tell myself that I am not my circumstances several times a day. In fact, I am becoming that strong person once more!  I now define myself as:


  • A baby boomer, but still young enough to set out on a career, support myself, become successful. I will not let anyone else define me. Only I can do that! 


  • Someone who can stand up on her own 2 feet, planting them squarely and firmly on the ground to provide me with stability and support. 


  • Able to establish my own voice. Let me be heard because I have a lot to share: my wisdom, care, knowledge, opinions, and, most definitely, my strength.  


  • That person who can make her children proud and, more importantly, make myself proud!!!


In fact, I want to show those who have had confidence in me to move forward that their love and support have indeed helped me!


It Is My Turn, but it can be your turn as well! Join me in this little crusade. Have a voice no matter what your reason may be.
